One of the best things about Boatshed Number One is that we genuinely have a boat for every budget. From no-frills tinnies to our flagship Bayliner cruiser, there is an option for every group and every price point. Here is the full range, from most affordable to most premium.
Budget-friendly: Runabouts. Our runabout hire is the most affordable way to get on the water — choose a half cabin or open cabin runabout for up to 8 guests, with fuel included. Open cabin from A$120 for 2 hours. No licence required.
Mid-range: BBQ Pontoons. The sweet spot for most groups. Our BBQ pontoons start at A$425 for a half day and include a Weber BBQ, Bluetooth stereo, shade cover and swim ladder. Choose from the Yellow Luxury (12 guests), Kracken (11 guests, wheelchair accessible), Party Barge (12 guests, full shade cover), Big Yella (12 guests, most deck space, onboard toilet) and Blue XL (15 guests, our largest). No licence required. Fuel included on most models.
Premium: Luxury Runabout 40Hp. Our luxury tri-hull runabout is a step up in comfort — shade canopy, GPS fish finder, Bluetooth stereo and padded leather seats. Up to 5 guests. From A$195 for 2 hours. A current boat licence is required.
Top tier: "Seas the Day" Bayliner Cruiser. The flagship of the fleet. A Bayliner Ciera Sport 3033 with BBQ, fridge, onboard toilet, day beds and Bluetooth. Up to 12 guests. Half day A$650, full day A$975, plus a A$30/hour fuel charge for motoring. A current NSW boat licence and boating experience are required — our team typically accompanies hirers for safe handling and setup. Contact us before booking.
Overnight: Houseboats. If a day is not enough, our 33-foot houseboat (sleeps 6, from A$1,350/day) and 45-foot houseboat (sleeps 10, from A$1,800/day) are available through our sister site, Forster Houseboat Hire. No boat licence required to operate.
First time on a boat? Start with a lake cruise. If you are new to boating and the thought of driving stresses you out, do not jump straight into a self-drive hire. Book a Discovery Lunch Cruise aboard MV FreeSpirit instead — A$70 for adults, A$45 for kids. It is a stress-free 2.5 hours where someone else does the driving and you get a 2-course lunch. You will see the lake, learn the layout and feel far more confident about hiring a boat on your next visit.
The bottom line. You can get on the water for under A$120 with a runabout, or go all out with the Bayliner cruiser at A$975 for a full day. Most groups land somewhere in the middle with a BBQ pontoon at A$425 for a half day. Whatever your budget, call us on 0488 879 818 and we will find the right boat for you.
